October

October really flew by for us! Pumpkin patches, Halloween festivities, two trips, and keeping up with G's activities kept us on the go.

We visited our favorite pumpkin patch early in the month. You know you have a daughter of two finance people, when the first thing Gracie wants to do upon arrival is take a full pumpkin patch inventory :) She is counting strong up into the thirties these days!

G was very excited that her favorite saaa-pie-der found it's way back to our front porch again this year. And every night before bed, she would peek out the front door window and blow goodnight kisses to our sparkling eight legged friend.

My silly little pumpkin!

We spent a few days in Leavenworth taking in the gorgeous fall leaves and reminiscing about how this was where we took Gracie on her very first vacation, when she was 15 months old!

And our trip wouldn't have been complete without a few cheesy pretzels in the Biergarten.

Yum!

The weather was a little soggy for our hikes in Leavenworth, but we weren't about to let that stop us.

That just meant we got to fully test our new rain gear :)

Later in the month, we made a trip to...... Disneyland!!!!

Gracie was a little unsure of rides, but loved hearing all of the fun music and taking everything in. And there was A LOT to take in :) She will tell you though, that her favorite part of Disney was the popcorn and taking the bus from the parking lot to the grounds. Hmmmm....

Gracie was very excited to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Although we did have a little situation where Minnie ran out of time with us and wouldn't high five Gracie. If you know our little girl, you know that it is a major faux paus to not return one of Gracie's high fives. There were a few tears but Minnie made it up to us by mailing us an autographed picture. Apology accepted :)

Granny and Papa and Gracie's cousin's joined us in Disneyland.

A pretty great place for a family reunion!

The Halloween decorations at Disney were second to none and got us in the mood for trick or treat.

Here is our hula Gracie, ready for action. This year trick or treat too funny! Gone was our bashful G when she realized that the magic words meant candy :) She kept asking "nanother house, peeeeease?"

In addition to trick or treating in our neighborhood, Gracie also went to a cute Halloween party at Little Bit where she does her horseback riding.

I had so much fun decking out Gracie's walker in Hawaiian motif. A hula girl's got to have her palm tree and pineapple, ya know.

Happy Fall!
